Here it is, friends!
The first wedding blog of the 2018 season.
And what better way to kick things off than with Amber + Tim: a couple so sweet, sincere, and head-over-heels in love.

But it wasn't always that way, dear reader. ;)

Since it's Minnesota and it's winter, it seems the thing to do in this scenario is brag that this whole day went down in -30F weather. But my rule is to never fashion a blog post around the elements, because they really don't matter.

Dunno how I get so lucky, you guys.
These two: they're my dream couple.

Fifty-seven days, ladies and gentleman.
With a ring they designed together, he popped the question...

I bet, I bet, I know, that you've never seen a wedding like this one before.

It's a song I've discovered this last week (srsly, go find it) and it's the one that's been making me tear up every time while I've been digging into James and Courtney's wedding edits.

Recently, I was asked if I ever get tired of shooting at Mayowood Stone Barn.
The short answer: NO!
The long answer: A little reading and a lot of scrolling.

There's something extra special about shooting a wedding for a couple that already has 3042 days of lovin' racked up.

It was black. Dramatic.
I had her pose in that dress with some overturned boats in an alleyway off Main Street.
Out of the hundreds of seniors I photographed at my old studio, she did and she has stuck out all these years later for being such a stylish + spunky + sweet package all rolled into one.

This time it was white. Still dramatic but in a more elegant, grown-up fashion. 

Any wedding that can boast unbeatable water views, countless strings of twinkling yellow lights, and a darling 2-year-old son as "ring bear," will assuredly make make your eyeballs wanna linger here long after you're done scrolling.

And that's just the beginning, friends.

I knew this one would be good.
(I mean, you remember their epic engagement session in the woods of Wisconsin, right?)
