Siena + Tyler! >> Holy Family Catholic Church + Bridgeport Art Center Skyline Loft Wedding (Chicago, IL)
Studio KH: Photographer of candids that aren’t cheesy.
Or at least that’s the word on the street.
(The smack middle of S LaSalle Steet to be exact, straddling those solid yellow lines.)
It was one of my favorite moments of Siena + Tyler’s UNREAL Chicago wedding—
We are out on the street at dusk, city lights competing with the last blue blue light of day.
S+T were in the middle of the road, shouting WE’RE MARRIED between kisses and twirls.
+I was shooting as fast as my finger could go, know we were getting straight magic.
A quick shared peek at the back of my camera,
more shouting,
big smiles,
hugs all around between videographers + newlyweds + me,
and Siena saying, “That’s why we chose you! For those kinds of candids! Photos that aren’t cheesy!”
And that right there felt so good. SO good. To have someone land upon the thing you value the most in your work—real, candid captures—and relate to it, and with such joy and enthusiasm.
It’s also one of the things I adore most of about this couple—their ability to make every person in their orbit feel special. The way they don’t hold back. And the way they so fully + freely share their love. Their wedding was a helluva time, and I’m still so honored to have scored a place on that Chicago street with them.
And so I present:
A whole blog post, dedicated to Siena and Tyler, full of non-cheesy candids.
They’re some of my favorites.
