You never really know what to expect when a couple tells you prior to the wedding day that their crew is the best kind of crazy. With Nikki + Chase, I’d say that’s never been more accurate. Although the best part: the pendulum also swings in another direction.

Forrrr example:
Moments before their grand entrance into their reception, a guest in a rainbow suit cracked beers for the entire audio/visual crew, handed over from the personal cooler he was wearing. A first for sure! So yeah, a little crazy but mostly hilarious.
But then minutes later as the newlyweds enter the barn to roaring cheers, Chase sweeps his bride into an uber romantic dip kiss, to an even more thunderous applause. (He would go on to prove himself very adept at such dashing moves as the night went on.)

Or how about this one:
N+C exchanged vows in a little white church in the country. The very one that saw the same promises from 3 previous generations of women in Nicole’s family. As added sentimental bonuses, N wearing the same shoe clips her mom wore on her wedding day, and the same garter that belonged to her grandmother. (Both of whom were in attendance!)
Then after the sweetest ceremony, the wedding party gathered outside to pop a festive bottle of champagne. With Chase at the helm of that bottle, it turned into a champagne shower as well. ;)

As for the… colorful best man speech (legendary) or the cause of bridesmaid tears in the bridal shed (if you know, you know) we’ll leave those lil crazy nuggets unexplained for the record. ;)

Ya see what I mean?
Nicole + Chase’s whole day managed a perfect balance of sweet and silly. From a photographer’s standpoint, it was prly the most fun you can have behind a camera and I’m still laughing. And to know that at the same time, we were making new heirlooms for future generations—What. An. Honor.
