Motherhood Studio Session at Juniper Loft in Minneapolis with Kristen & Ben

What an absolute dream of a session with Kristen + Ben!

But actually!

I’ve been full of ideas and inspiration during this season of rest before Minnesota comes to life again, when my shooting season will really get underway. The lists are plentiful with everything I want to shoot, and on that list was a loft studio session with a mother and son in matching jeans and white t-shirts.

The perfect loft: check! We rented Juniper Loft in Minneapolis. I’d been searching for months (years?) for the right loft space. I love the light weathered brick here, the warm wood floors, and the abundance of large windows. It’s also huge and has got plenty of prop options to mix things up, although we kept the look more minimal for this shoot.

The outfits: yessss! K+B took it up another notch with the matching Nikes. I was cheering.

The vibe: A+, with these two bringing the most playing + loving energy into the studio for our shoot. And even more bonus points to the almost 4 year old for choosing a great playlist of upbeat oldies, starting our session off with some great dance moves.

It was such an honor to document this season for K+B, and this session is a new all time favorite!
