Lauren + Garrett >> Festive + Fun Capitol Room Wedding (St. Peter, MN)
If this looks like a super fun wedding, you’re right. When Lauren laughs, I think we all laugh. Garrett’s goofy side was also on display, making the day seem light and easy despite the planning struggles leading up to it.
If it looks like there was an exceptionally helpful village pulling this wedding together, you’re right. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many guests and VIPS alike all willing to contribute, whether that’s stepping in to officiate at the last minute, pulling the decor together, or flipping the room between events. (When I arrived, the groomsmen were all dressed, helping to set up the ceremony arch. It was kind of incredible.)
If you can tell just from the photos that I had a fabulous time too, then you’re right. Can I just speak for all of us there when I say this wedding was full of the best kind of energy? Plenty of sweetness and even more laughter. One unique thing I especially loved that effortlessly combined the two: when the glass clinking at the reception began to prompt a kiss, Garrett and Lauren made the instigator answer a trivia question about them first, with correct answers only winning a smooch.
And if it looks like The Capitol Room might be the most perfect venue for festive, twinkly, romantic, gorgeous, old world meets modern, then once again you are absolutely correct. The vibe there is always just right and a special shout out to the crew for their safe hosting practices!
