Laura + Scott! >> Elegant Downtown Engagement (Rochester, MN)

This is the session where über romantic engagement vibes meet adorable family photo ops.
(And it’s goooood.)

Takeaways from my session with Laura + Scott + Luke—

Always bring the babies! Bowtie, suspenders, sweet curls and all. We started off our session with little L to grab some gorgeous family photos before continuing on solo with Laura and Scott.

Incorporate meaning where you can. Since L+S both moved to Minnesota to work for Mayo where they would eventually meet, we gave a subtle nod to it in our shoot. To complement their cocktail attire, we used the most gorgeous part of it all—those iconic Plummer doors. *Chefs kiss*

The direction of the wind matters when you’re strategizing champagne sprays, lol. Laura got an extra shower at the end of the session, making for a hilarious moment on the rooftop. Of course, it was followed up with the most golden, glorious, romantic images (ever?) as we toasted and sipped and closed out our session as the sun went down. (Not pictured: the third glass they thoughtfully brought for me!)

Can’t wait for the Laura + Scott magic to continue at Mayowood next summer! If their engagement session is any indication, it’s going to be a day of epic sweetness and laughter. (And hopefully more baby bowties.)
