Jesse + Brianna > The Surprise Proposal!

The suspense of this has been killing me.

Since the first email with Jesse in June.
To planning logistics for the surprise.
To driving down to the Iowa border, nerves carrying me on a high the whole way.
To hiding out in a garden shed, waiting for them to appear after their anniversary dinner out.
TO HAVING BRI LOOK OVER AT THE DOOR TO MY SHED 2X.
TO SEEING HIM REACH FOR A RING BOX.
To get these gloriously happy set of images to the newly engaged couple.
To sharing them with you all because I'm so stinking excited for them, still buzzing from the beauty that was last night.

It's no small thing to be invited to capture something so huge. (And whew, for an incredibly talented wedding photog herself.) To be the only witness to such a major life event—the tingles are already coming back again—and to be invited into the inner circle while creating heirloom images is pretty surreal. I know Jesse and Bri are gonna cherish these images in years to come, but you know what else? I will too. Because this job, and everything that comes with it, are far more meaningful than I ever realized when I first picked up a camera at age 17.
