Britta + Eric! >> Dreamy Golden Hour in a Vintage Boat
IT’S MAGIC, MY FRIENDS! Truly, this is one of my most memorable sessions. Plus we got a big pack of stunners that are now in the Favorites hall of fame—huzzah!
Britta shared her vision early on in the planning process: hanging out with her hunny on a vintage wooden boat at golden hour.
She didn’t have a location. She didn’t have the outfits. And probably most importantly: she didn’t have the boat. (Although she had the Eric which put her in a pretty good spot, I’d say.)
We coordinated calendars for months out, B put in the time researching, but in the end it was a fortuitous meal with a friend by the lake when she saw the boat go by. THEE boat. THIS boat. Luckily for us, the owner didn’t find it at all strange when a stranger approached with a wish and a request. (Thank you, Ian!)
It started with a dream, and it ended as a dream:
Sharing of a bottle of wine,
in the middle of the lake
as the sun set
on a glorious evening
in good company.

PS: This shoot also wins the award as most-daring-attempt-at-getting-the-shot. Can you tell which ones were the result of me balancing on the front of the boat, absorbing the wakes while I photographed?
