Daveed Turns Two! >> Afternoon Play Date with Mom
I don't know anything about parenting.
I've never done it.
However, I do know what a happy kid looks like who loves and respects his momma.
Which leads me to believe that Yulia is doin' something right.
Doing many things right, most likely.
One of the things I love most about our session is that I never heard her once say--
"Daveed, why aren't you smiling?"
Instead, I saw her put her arms around her son. She picked him. Turned him over. Tickled his tummy. And brought out a toy train.
She let her kid be a kid.
Which meant that no one had to ask him where his smile was.
Because he was having real fun, celebrating his second lap around the sun, playing at the park with his momma.
