Ace + Courtney >> Engaged!

Planning an engagement session soon? Take a leaf outta Ace + Courtney’s book, because theirs is the kind of shoot to strive for.

Lemme break it on down.

The location!
A+C brought it back to the site of their first date. Added layers of sentiment will help put you in the right mindset, being in a place you already connect with. (Doesn’t hurt that it was also pretty gorgeous. ;) )

The wardrobe!
In diversifying their looks between extra fancy and fun casual, these two have a bigger variety in their session. Courtney also scheduled a hair and make-up appointment prior to the session (which is where I met her, after spying Ace outside with a bouquet of flowers!!) for some feel-good time prior to the shoot. (Also S/O to Arch Apothecary for the glam!)

The attitude!
Scroll down and you’ll see that we’ve got a healthy mix of playful laughs and sweet kisses between these two. The more focused you are on showing your partner affection, the less it’ll feel like a photo shoot, and the more natural it will feel. (Although I’ll definitely be there guiding you through it all, hooting and hollering when you inevitably nail it just like Ace + Courtney did.)
