I have officially spent more nights in Nice this year than in my own bed in Minneapolis. A pretty good indication that it’s probably sorta of really… well… nice in Nice?
Following my week in Barcelona, I headed up the coast in favor of my France to spend a few weeks relaxing on the Riviera, and coming to the conclusion over many lazy afternoons that I’m not too bad on the guitar for a beginner. (Be sure to look for my album cover a few scrolls down.
)
Sunrise over the sea.
Can you see why this view from my bedroom window has been preferable over the one from University Avenue?
The famous pebble beaches of Nice.
(Err…. sorry, guys, but we have billions of these beaches up on the North Shore? Not a wow moment for a Minnesota girl.)
It’s impossible for me to relax seaside without wading in to collect a fistful of treasures.
My beautiful rocks.
Take two.
Annnnd shots three and four.
(It was even hard paring it down to this few. I literally have dozens of photos, I was so enamored with my collection as it continued to grow.)
Sunset scooter ride along the coast.
Can we get a close up on the boats please?
Thaaaank you.
The blue astounded me.
Day trip to Monaco!
&Dror looking like a handsome, old-fashioned cigarette ad.
Stumbled upon an aquarium on our afternoon stroll.
This thing. Will haunt my dreams. Forever.
Posing in front of the ritzy Hotel de Paris and Monte Carlo Casino.
I’ve never seen more Ferraris parked at one establishment in my life.
An afternoon on the Promenade de Anglais, lazing about in the sun with a couple of guitars. C’est tres parfait.
Another guitar-in-the-sunshine kind of day. ![]()
This time on a rocky beach in Villefranche-sur-Mer.
A new layout I’m superimposing bouquets, cakes, and diamond rings on top of for future album designs…
One of my many teachers from the villa.
(Grasshopper can play a B chord? I think she has earned a photo shoot.)
Trained it over to Antibes for the day to see…
My beautiful French girlfriend from Thailand, Caroline!
Déjeuner avec.. amis? On… le plage?
(Clearly I still have a ways to go with my French.)
“You’re a real French girl now!”
Dinner on the balcony, watching the sun go down with her family. Magnifique.
While in France my diet was 68% cheese.
Viva la fromage!
&My next stop on the European tour, coming soon: Rome….
